Brasher's Salt Lake Auction
Serving major markets throughout the West, Brasher's Salt Lake offers a full range of remarketing services including reconditioning, inspections, transportation, inventory financing, and wholesale automotive, salvage, specialty, and Internet auctions. Salt Lake Auto Auction remarkets vehicles for wholesale consignors including dealers, manufacturers, rental car companies, banks, finance and leasing institutions. Salt Lake Auto Auction's customer base draws from Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, California, Washington, Oregon, Montana, and Canada.
Salt Lake Auto Auction is one of the oldest auctions in the West, holding its first auction over 56 years ago in 1949. The Salt Lake Auto Auction was one of the first to offer dealer floor planning, which Frank introduced in the 1950s. Full reconditioning was offered in the 1950s and transport service by an auction-owned fleet began in the 1960s. Frank also recognized the significance of the fleet and lease business and began selling cars for ARI in the 1950s. Salt Lake Auto
Auction was also among the first auctions in the country to host sales for Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler in the 1960s.
Recent times have seen the construction of an additional reconditioning facility that will increase both productivity and quality. Wireless access has been added to facilitate the electronic condition report system. The auction has also introduced an online auction system that reaches dealers all over the nation.
The auction is currently owned and operated by Frank and Esther Brasher's oldest son Jay, grandsons Rob, Jeff and Doug, and grandsons-in-law Don Rowley and Ty Brewer. Frank and Esther's son-in-law Bob Nydegger handles the computer programming, and grandsons-in-law Justin Booth and John McPhie oversee Human Resources and Financing respectively.
Salt Lake Auto Auction's fleet, lease and bank business grows bigger every year as the market in the West continues to
expand. Moreover, Brasher's commitment to dealer consignment and service has not changed since the
auction first opened its doors more than 56 years ago.
